ACG National Capital’s Monthly Meetings often feature a single speaker either addressing the membership, or being interviewed by an association member or sponsor. These meetings bring industry leaders and extremely successful corporate executives in front of the chapter to talk about industry trends, provide best practices that they’ve identified from their failures and successes, and share anecdotes from their careers that can provide valuable lessons.

It’s for this reason that many ACG members consider these meetings to be the “must attend” networking and educational session on their calendars each month.

But, in keeping with the spirit of the New Year – which challenges us all to take risks and shake things up – ACG National Capital is doing something slightly different for its January Monthly Meeting. They’re upping the ante and having not ONE experienced business leader, but SIX experienced senior executives at the January Monthly Meeting.

That’s right, this month’s meeting – which will take place on January 18, 2018 at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner – will feature a panel discussion with multiple, impressive business leaders all discussing something that is extremely close to the hearts of association members – corporate growth strategies.

The panelists for this discussion include:

This panel includes leaders from some of the region’s largest companies and senior executives at exciting growth companies who have all had the experience and responsibility of driving growth for their businesses. In fact, two of the panelists have made news in the last year with exciting announcements about their companies.

Chris Coleman is the CEO of LookingGlass, a cyber security company based in Reston, VA, whose solutions provide unified threat protection against sophisticated cyber attacks for both public and private sector customers. In August, the company announced a capital raise of $26.3 million – comprised of mezzanine debt funding and incremental venture capital – from new investors Eastward Capital and Triangle Peak Partners.

Guy Filippelli is the founder and CEO of RedOwl, a provider of security analytics focused on helping customers understand and manage human risk. The Baltimore-based company announced in August that it had been acquired by Forcepoint, a cybersecurity company headquartered in Austin, TX.

The panel discussion will be lead by Larry Davis, a partner at Aronson Capital Partners (ACP), a leading middle-market investment bank focused on the government services and technology industry. ACP serves as trusted advisors to senior management teams and boards of directors, filling the M&A and financial advisory needs of middle market companies in the highly fragmented aerospace, defense, and government services industry.

Together, this panel has decades of experience in raising capital, driving organic growth, executing strategic mergers and acquisitions, and advising companies on corporate growth activities and strategies.

The experience and business knowledge represented on this panel makes the January Monthly Meeting “must-attend” event for ACG National Capital members and regional business leaders, who will invariably gain insights and best practices for growing their businesses and identifying successful growth strategies.
