On September 11, 2017, ACG National Capital hosted their annual golf event on a gorgeous day with perfect weather at Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, Virginia. This year, for the first time ever, a portion of the proceeds will be going to the Veteran Staffing Network of Easter Seals Serving DC|MD|VA, a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive employment services for veterans, wounded warriors, and their families across the National Capital Region and around the country.
The actual check amount will be announced at a formal presentation next Friday, October 20, at the ACG National Capital monthly meeting. The tournament began with the popular mega putt contest immediately followed by a 1:00 shotgun start. Prizes were given for first, second and third place teams in addition to the longest drive for both females and males and a closest to the pin for females and males. There were numerous door prizes, including gift certificates to the pro shop, tickets for four to play at the club, and a donated American flag carved in wood by Flags of Valor.
