This upcoming Friday, ACG National Capital will host its July monthly meeting with Gerard J. “Jerry” DeMuro as the featured speaker.
Jerry DeMuro is president and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc., a global, U.S.-based defense, aerospace, and security company that generates approximately $12.75 billion in annual revenue and employs nearly 40,000 people.
DeMuro also serves as an executive director on the BAE Systems plc board of directors, as a member of the company’s executive committee, and as an executive director on the BAE Systems, Inc. board of directors.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Inc., DeMuro served as executive vice president and corporate vice president of the Information Systems and Technology group at General Dynamics, which generated more than $10 billion in revenue and employed 44,000.
In this position, he lead a diverse portfolio focused on secure mobile communication systems, information technology solutions, cyber security, health care and mission support services, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
Throughout his 36-year career, DeMuro has directed the transformation of complex global organizations responsible for fulfilling critical and challenging missions worldwide in the national security, technology, and aerospace industry.
He’ll bring this expansive knowledge and experience to the July monthly meeting, when he’ll discuss the government contracting space, industry trends and lessons learned with the ACG National Capital membership and guests. The event will take place on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 7:30am – 9:00 am at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner.
