IMG_0983Last week on Corporate Growth, Capital Style, we shared part one of Ted Leonsis’ presentation at the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Growth Conference, where he discussed Washington DC’s recent transformation into one of the nation’s strongest venture communities.

Ted Leonsis is the Chairman and ECO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Washington Capitals (NHL), the Washington Wizards (NBA), the Washington Mystics (WNBA), as well as the Verizon Center. Ted remains a cornerstone of the DC region’s business community, having been honored as Washington’s Businessman of the Year, Washingtonian of the Year, one of the 20 most influential people in sports, and one of the top 10 entrepreneurs of the year.

In part two of Mr. Leonsis’ presentation, he compares today’s vastly different digital landscape to the early days of the Internet, and points to companies in markets that are primed for massive growth – particularly those catering to a global audience.
