On Sept. 9, six membership associations will gather at The Tower Club in Tysons Corner to celebrate the passing of Labor Day and getting back to the business of growing their members’ professional networks at ACG National Capital’s Fall Kick-Off Networking Reception.
The Honorable Tom Davis, long-time Congressman representing Virginia’s 11th Congressional district will be the guest speaker, sharing his views on “The Political Landscape for the 2010 Elections.” Davis follows a long line of notable speakers from past years, representing such organizations as Goldman Sachs, Center for the Study of the Presidency, The Washington Post, Wachovia Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, and others.
In addition to the ACG National Capital Chapter, this year’s participating groups include the Business Alliance for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, The CFO Alliance, National Association of Corporate Directors, The Wharton Club, and Women in Technology.
Typically, this event sells out due to the fire marshal capacity of almost 300, and this year is no different. The event will include a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres prior to Congressman Davis giving his remarks. Drawing extensively from the region, this meeting offers high-energy networking, timely topics, and lots of buzz with business professionals from all areas of corporate growth reconnecting in one spot. All these ingredients have made this annual Kick-Off event a proven success.
